Self Defence Classes for Women
Krav Maga and self defence classes for women and girls take place in Ra’anana, Israel. The class follows a specialised programme for women that takes into account the qualities possessed by women that serve as a strong advantage when it comes to self defence. For example, women typically have a faster reaction time, are more flexible and less rigid and can even make use of high heels and fingernails.
As in all of Krav Maga, self defence for women is based on the usage of the opponent’s weak points along with the element of surprise. The goal of the course is to teach our students how to be themselves, in terms of whatever expression of femininity suits them, but to approach every situation from a position of strength and to give them the power to refuse to become victims.
Physically, during the classes we place an emphasis on improving posture, developing the core muscles, balance, endurance, flexibility and reaction speed. Like with all our classes, we also offer fitness advice that can be practiced even at home.
We pay close attention to our students’ emotional state as well since many come to us after being exposed to violence. Through the lessons, we aim to gradually build our students’ confidence and self-esteem, as well as their ability to function under pressure. We believe that women are already powerful and all they require is to have a safe space where they can embrace their power.

Moreover, practicing Krav Maga will in and of itself improve your balance, core muscles, strengthening your arms and legs. Every student progresses at her own pace.
I have no experience in any type of martial arts, will I be able to join?
Absolutely! No experience what-so-ever is required to learn Krav Maga. Krav Maga is specifically designed to be easy to learn, efficient and approachable for people of every age, gender and physical capability. The exercises are straightforward and your instructor will help you progress at your own pace.
Isn’t it better to just use pepper spray instead of self defence?
The vast majority of cases, when an attack occurs, you will not have any time to prepare and pull the pepper spray out of wherever you put it in your bag. Even if you do have the habit of walking around with it ready in your hand, more often than not pepper spray can malfunction, or even backfire. It is an inefficient form of defence and you’re better off with a concrete method at hand
