KRAV MAGA WORKSHOPS FOR WOMEN
Krav Maga workshops for women are meant for companies and organisations that are interested in strengthening the sense of safety of their female workers through a fun, engaging and unifying experience. The workshops give real tools for self defence, using tried and tested Krav Maga drills that have worked repeatedly against sexual assault.
Every woman has the power to defend herself, and our workshops teach how to use the element of surprise along with weakness points to our students’ advantage. The workshops focus on common sexual assault scenarios, while during the workshop we will discuss statistics, true stories of successful self-defence and basic do’s and don’t’s.
How long is a workshop and who could participate?
The workshop is one and a half hours long and physical fitness is not a requirement. The workshop is suitable for women and also for people with disabilities, mental health issues, non-binary, genderfluid and transexual.
Who developed the workshop?
The workshop was developed by Dr. Aviad Segal, founder of iKravMaga school and an international Krav Maga expert, previously a consultant to the ministry of defence in Israel and a partner with the State of Israel in the creation of the Krav Maga postal stamp. The workshop was developed over several years through teaching self defence to women and girls, among whom were past victims of sexual assault. All workshops are taught by certified instructors.
What is the difference between assault and sexual assault?
A normal assault, such as a bar fight, happens quickly with the assailant focused on violence. In contrast, in most cases sexual assault has a relatively prolonged timeline that allows for several opportunities to react using the element of surprise.
When was this workshop developed?
The workshop was developed over ten years ago and has been taught successful in many organisations and companies. Each workshop is tailored to fit the group and organisation.
iKravMaga School For Krav Maga
The Touch Fight School iKravMaga was founded in 2004 and is Israel's largest touch fight school. We were selected to collaborate with the Post Office in the official stamp of a State of Israel contact. The school has a dedicated group of girls and women who are very successful and empowers its participants and teaches them that there is a warrior within each. In addition to our regular operations, we work with municipalities, educational institutions, security units and hospitals. As part of a high professional standard, we specialize in tailoring the study materials and training methods to the needs, and capabilities of each group and group.
